Etsy fake vintage reseller DREAMWEAVER4U2 is still at it: listing cheapie Chinese fashion from 2017 as Vintage #etsysellsvintage

It's no surprise, really.  Long term fake vintage reseller on Etsy DREAMWEAVER4U2 last featured in this blog in March 2019 is still at it:  listing cheapie Chinese products still available for sale NEW on sites like AliExpress as 20+ year old dead stock from storage Vintage.  But using the manufacturer's stock photo for the product gives it all away.  I mean, if you are going to be a fraudulent vintage seller, you should at least rub a couple of brain cells together while listing the item.

Check it out!  Titled "Upscale NEW Vintage", this contemporary cap sleeve blouse with cutwork design at the neckline is pretending to be at least 20 years old.  (It's not!).  Priced at $18.  2 units in stock, one each in beige and blue.  Both are size M, which the seller says is a US women's size.  It's not (here we go again with misrepresented sizing).  Seller says the top measures 16 inches pit to pit, or 32 inches total.  This makes it US size XS (0-2).  This is a Chinese size M but a US size XS -- US sizes can be estimated by going down 2 sizes from the Chinese label. 

The one image used in the listing was "borrowed" from the Chinese manufacturer.

Here's the same item on AliExpress where it is available in Chinese sizes S, M, L, XL, and XXL -- or US equivalent sizes XXS, XS, S, M, and L.  Priced at $3.59 to $4.59, and offered in 10 color options.  The listing dates the item to 2017, which makes it Etsy legal Vintage in 2037.  It's got more than a few years to go.  Sold out on DHGATE.  Was supposedly sold at H & M.

Let's have a look at some of the most relevant items listed as "Vintage" on Etsy today.

Reseller sarahkpool has just one item in her Vintage shop, a "NEW!" Coleman Vista Series 2 18 ft x 48 in above ground pool  pretending to be "Vintage".  Priced at $615, on sale from original price of $1280.  One unit already sold!  

Nothing about this product is "vintage".  For sale on Amazon on eBay sold out at WAL-MART  That's how #etsysellsvintage!

UPDATE AUGUST 18:  reseller sarahkpool was closed, but a new shop reselling the same pool as "Vintage from before 2000" has opened.  donpool just listed the pool today, and already 3 units have been sold.  Priced at $589.20, on sale from $982.  

Appearing daily on Page 1 of the most relevant "vintage" items listed on Etsy is this cast iron wall mount bottle opener mega mass manufactured in China during the past decade.  Listed by BarnWoodIndustrial who has sold well over 1000 units, it's also available in other Etsy shops, mostly as handmade by sellers who will custom paint this item, purchased by them NEW.  Listed in the Home & Living category, where items pretending to be 20+ year old "vintage" are more relevant than authentically old pieces because they are listed on Etsy in large quantities by resellers -- and they are more likely to be purchased by Etsy's very young target market.  Priced at 99 cents.

UPDATE SEPTEMBER 14: so many I have to find the time to feature some of them!

When fake vintage reseller WineBoxesEtc started listing wine boxes stamped with years after 2000 as "Vintage", a bunch of us started reported these listings to Etsy.  As you can see, that was a waste of time because this mendacious seller is still in action.

As you can see in the first photo in this listing for French 6 bottle wine crates the image has been changed to show mostly boxes with the dates turned to rear, and a camera angle that is out of focus, in shadow, and at an odd angle.  The original photos were bright, clear, and had the dates showing.

While it is possible that some of them date from 2000, or earlier, most of them are newer than that, and -- according to Etsy's rules -- shouldn't be listed as "Vintage" on the site.  But the "Rule of 20" for vintage on Etsy says only that a listing costs 20 cents   Vintage items can be any age on Etsy, including made-to-order to be crafted in the future after a customer purchase.  Browse around the shop, and see the dates shown on the crates in all the listings.  Not vintage.

SEPTEMBER 24:  more.

Meet reseller JusNCaseTreasures who has a shop full of brand new imported from China jewelry listings pretending to be "Vintage from before 2000".  Check out this layered chain necklace with coin pendants which is shown today on page 1 of the most relevant Vintage item listings on Etsy.  Priced at $25.  All necklace thumbnail images in the shop -- including the one below -- are stock photos "borrowed" from the manufacturer.  2 units in stock (a clue that the item in the listing is NEW, not Vintage),

If you love it, and want one, don't pay this mendacious reseller the Etsy Fake Vintage Stupid Tax.  Get it direct from China from this merchant on AliExpress priced at just $3.98.

Meet reseller HaydayTreasures who has made over 7,500 sales of mostly mass made NEW face masks pretending to be "handmade" or "vintage" -- or both!  Note that the shop name suggests the items sold are older collectibles, instead of brand new and factory fresh.  Some of the masks have political slogans printed on them that clearly date them to this year, 2020.  Every day these masks are shown by Etsy on either page 1 or page 2 of the most relevant items listed as Vintage on Etsy.  Like this Biden Harris 2020 logo face mask pretending to be "vintage".  Available for sale in quantities of 1, 5, 10, 25, 100, or 500 pieces.  497 "vintage" units in stock.  A message from Etsy on the listing says over 20 Etsy shoppers have it in their carts now as I type.  That's how #etsysellsvintage, baby!

SEPTEMBER 25:  more today.

Just listed today as "vintage" in the Home and Living category discussed in the Etsy article linked above is this handmade to order autumn wreath  Listed by NaturalEssentialSoap one of Etsy's mendacious crafters who pretend their items can be both made to order in the future as well "vintage" made at least 20 years ago.  This kind of seller is what makes dishonEtsy so special!

This brand new copy of an Art Nouveau advertising poster is listed as "Vintage from before 2000" by faux vintage seller WishWoodPrints who ships from the UK.  The poster shown below is offered in 5 sizes, with 997 "vintage" units in stock.  Also listed in the Home and Living category that Etsy says is super trendy for "vintage".  Uh huh.  Priced at $17 to $50, depending on size, a fraction of the price that an authentically old poster with this image would fetch.

OCTOBER 02:  Mass manufacturer lists brand new products in their Etsy shop as both "handmade" and "vintage" categorized as "Home and Living".

Mass manufacturer of inexpensive homewares Gifts4all Inc. has an Etsy shop where they have a few dozen products listed from their Bezrat brand  As you can see at the link for the Bezrat trademark the brand dates from 2016.  Yet this mendacious merchant lists some of their products on Etsy as both "handmade" and "vintage from before 2000".  The shop opened this year (2020) on Etsy, and already made more than 1200 sales.  More proof, if was needed, that reselling is allowed on Etsy and the way #etsysellsvintage means brand new products can be listed by manufacturer with a false claim they are 20+ years old.  The typical load of blatant dishonEtsy.

Pretending to be "Vintage from before 2000" as well as "handmade" are these mass manufactured Bezrat tempered glass hot drink mugs  listed in the Home and Living Category.

Check out this etched glass globe decanter and tumblers set pretending to be "handmade" as well as "Vintage from before 2000" -- which is impossible for a brand about 5 years old.  Listed as Home and Living.

Another fake vintage item is this etched globe glass decanter on a USA map tray  It's pretending to be "Vintage from before 2000" as well as handmade -- impossible for a brand that is 5 years old.  Pants.  On.  Fire.  Listed as Home and Living.

More:  here's another globe etched glass decanter and 2 etched tumblers with a handled tray set pretending to be "Vintage from before 2000" as well as handmade.  It's a brand new mass manufactured product from a brand just 5 years old.  Listed (again) in Home and Living.

This set of 2 map etched whiskey glasses brand new with their Bezrat branded box (a brand that is about 5 years old) is pretending to be "Vintage from before 2000" as well as handmade.  Listed in Home and Living.

This set of 2 hand painted wine glasses is pretending to be "Vintage from before 2000" as well as handmade.  Not possible for a brand that dates from 2016 -- the description clearly states they are "Bezrat Wine Glasses Set of 2".  Listed in Etsy's fav category for its "vintage", Home and Living.

This mass manufactured glass butter dish is pretending to be "Vintage from before 2000" as well as handmade.  Description clearly says it is a "Bezrat Glass Butter Dish with Lid", made by a brand that dates from about 2016.  Only in the mendacious Etsyverse can a brand new product be 20+ years old.  Listed exactly where Etsy loves to see its kind of "vintage", in Home and Living.  50 "vintage" AND "handmade" units in stock.

Because an Etsygirl can never have too much fake "vintage", here's ANOTHER glass butter dish with lid handle pretending to be "Vintage from before 2000" as well as handmade.  50 mass manufactured, brand new, units in stock.  Clearly identified in the Description as a "Bezrat Glass Butter Dish", which means it can't be older than the brand itself -- about 5 years old.  Listed in Home and Living, where Etsy loves to see its favorite kind of "vintage":  totally FAKE.

Etsy fake Vintage reseller Goodtimesvtg claims her fake wrist watches marked ROLEX are homage items. Plus new listings of fake vintage factory fresh from China. #etsysellsvintage

 Continuing from my previous post in March 2020 with later updates, long term fake vintage reseller Goodtimesvtg is still stuffing her Etsy shop with items too new to be Vintage (at least 20 years old) and -- a new trend for her -- replica Rolex watches.

The shop's listings are now over fifty percent wrist watches, some vintage and some not.  It's always entertaining for those of us who actually know something about dating Vintage items to see a wrist watch clearly marked QUARTZ dated to the 1950s by a clueless Etsy seller.

Just added to the shop is this brand new modern style wrist watch pretending to be "Vintage from before 2000".  Priced at $37.50 -- on sale from $75.  This listing jumps off the page because the shop owner has only fair photography skills, and the images in the listing are supplied by the manufacturer,

If you want one, you can do much better on price than $37.50.  Get it on AliExpress for just $2.37 plus $1.62 shipping!  Check out the various black and white designs available for this item.  This eBay seller from China is asking less than $8.00 plus $2.99 shipping.  One of the AliExpress listings dates the product to 2017.  Which means it will be "vintage" according to Etsy's standards in 2037.  

REPLICA ROLEX WRIST WATCHES FOR SALE BY Goodtimesvtg!

The listing for her first fake Rolex is now in the shop's Sold Items Gallery but clicking on the item says it is "unavailable".  It briefly reappeared in the active listings, using the same images and text, and then disappeared.  But it appears that this newer listing is selling the same fake Rolex watch or another one just like it.  Priced at $199.50, on sale from $399.

More replica Rolexes listed!

Listed as a "homage" Rolex wrist watch the item shown in the photos is a replica not a homage -- it has fake Rolex markings on it which means it is illegal to sell.  Homage Rolex watches copy the design but are not marked as if they might have been made by the original brand.  As usual, this seller is a mendaciously slippery faker.  CAVEAT EMPTOR!   Priced at the same half off original price $199.50.

Finally here's a assortment of 10 wrist watches including a fake Rolex  Priced at $599.50, a half price reduction from $1100.  The item's description says the one marked "Rolex" is a "homage" piece -- but it's not, since the name "Rolex" is clearly visible on face.  It's a fake, and illegal to sell.  

SEPTEMBER 12:  another chance for you Etsygirls to pay the Fake Vintage Reseller Stupid Tax!

Recently listed is this mega mass manufactured robot watch necklace imported from China.  Was all over Etsy reseller shops as a "handmade" item during the past decade.  The mendacious Goodtimesvtg claims it is "Vintage from before 2000" and "steam punk".  It's not even 10 years old, and there actually were steam punk style versions of this necklace made by adding a cover to the watch face with a bunch of gears and stuff embellishing it.  But this isn't that watch.  Priced at $39.50 -- on sale from regular price of $79!

If you want one -- or enough of these necklaces to give as "swag" at a party -- you can do amazingly better on price.  Try this merchant on AliExpress where the price is $2.72 per unit.  

SEPTEMBER 17: more.

Listed yesterday is this Jules & James bracelet watch with red crystals  It's pretending to be "Vintage from before 2000", but that isn't possible for an item market with a brand name first used in 2010 -- just a decade ago.  The first image is a stock photo, used by sellers of this item worldwide.  Priced at $71.60 -- on sale from regular (fantasy) price of $179.  

Check out this contemporary glass ball modern style table lamp pretending to be "Vintage from before 2000".  Seller's description dates it to the 1990s, but it's NEW!  Priced at $199.60, on sale from regular price of $499.

Note that the image above has been digitally "snipped" to conceal text or graphics that reveal information about the piece.  If you like it, you can do so much better on price, although I am sure an Etsygirl will want to pay the $499.  (Not that I have any objection to paying that price for a lamp, as long as it's that kind of quality and design, which this one isn't!)  Get it on eBay for under $90, shipping from China.  Note other thumbnail photos selling the same lamp in the listing I linked, some selling it for just over $50.  Get it on AliExpress for under $20.

SEPTEMBER 18:  more!

Check out this factory fresh wire base desk lamp set of 2 with shades pretending to be "Vintage before 2000".  Priced at $119.60, on sale from regular price $299.  I can't wait to see a dumb bunny Etsy shopper pay the Fake Vintage Reseller Stupid Tax on this item!

If you love these, you can do oh-so-much-better on price.  Try Amazon where you'll pay less than $50 for the pair.  Just $33.70 here on eBay  Not vintage.  Not even close.

SEPTEMBER 22:  and more!

This traffic signal desk lamp is super cute, but is it vintage?  The seller claims it is "Vintage from the 1970s" and made of "lucite".  Priced at 119.60, reduced from regular price $299.  A realistic price for a lamp made almost 50 years ago...maybe.

But it's not that old.  Not even vintage -- at least 20 years old -- by Etsy's unenforced standards.  It's from 2003 and was sold at Target.  

SEPTEMBER 28:  more!

This snake wrap bracelet is pretending to be "Vintage from the 1990s".  Priced at $79.60 -- discounted from regular price of $199.  OMG, am laughing so hard it's difficult to type!

Since the seller has "borrowed" her photos from the Chinese manufacturer, it's easy enough to find out that the bracelet is BRAND NEW.  Currently listed by several merchants on Wish for the market price of under $3.50.  Wholesale on DHGate priced from $2.51 to $1.95, depending on quantity ordered.  This listing on AliExpress dates the bracelet to 2019, and prices it at $1.89.

This brand new red slimline landline phone is pretending to be "Vintage" (or at least 20 years old),  Priced at $79.60 -- reduced from $199.  I'm not joking -- visit the link, and see!

If you want one, you can buy it from the mendacious Goodtimesvtg and pay her Fake Vintage Reseller Stupid Tax.  Or you pay just $14.99 for it on Amazon  Is that a big savings, or what?  Oh, the Amazon listing says it's still in production, too.  And read the reviews!!!  Priced at $11.98 on eBay  

This cheapie Chinese gold tone men's skeleton wrist watch is pretending to be "Vintage from before 2000".  The seller uses the keyword "luxury" in her title twice!  Priced at $59.60, on sale from the regular price of $149.  

If you want one, it's on Ali Baba for just $2.49 per unit, if you purchase at least 2 watches.  For a better idea of the true quality of the watch, it's listed for just 1 penny on Amazon (buyer pays $7 and change for shipping, though).  First sold on Amazon in 2019.  Gift merchant Mini In The Box has it for $24.14 retail.

OCTOBER 16:  more fake vintage!

Check out this brand new fox face women's wrist watch pretending to be "Vintage from before 2000".  Seller says it "is in working condition" -- why wouldn't it be, considering it is fresh from a Chinese factory?  Priced at $44.50 -- half off the regular price of $89!  Hopefully an Etsygirl will wait until the sale is over and pay the full price because both Goodtimesvtg and the buyer deserve it!

If you want one, and you're more intelligent than an Etsygirl, you can do so much better on price.  Get it brand new for just $1.09 to $$2.32 on AliExpress where the buyer has a choice of 10 different colors for the wrist band.
